How to stop doubt in it’s tracks

Don’t ever doubt yourself.

This is what they say to us, but it’s easier said than done when life has thrown difficult circumstances your way.

The last 12mths have been the most challenging of my life and business to date. The illness and passing of a family member created a never ending to do list, in addition to the fairly major tasks of running my business and the general day to day tasks of life in general.

I’ve felt weighed down, and like I’ve been failing at most things.

Perhaps you’ve felt the same at times? Like no matter what you do it’s not enough?

It can seem like ‘not doing enough’ is an empirical fact. Our brains will show us where we’re falling short and not keeping up with everyone else.

It’s a made up story, which nonetheless feels terrible.

As a Life Coach I am not immune to the effects of having a human brain that makes up stories. I use all the tools that I teach my clients on myself too. That’s what makes me so skilled with them.

Feeling this way for any length of time really isn’t ok with me any longer. Feeling bad has it’s place, until it no longer serves the bigger vision of our lives.

Whilst your brain is spinning you the story that you’re not doing enough you can take pen to paper and write a list of 25 things you’ve done in the last 12mths.

Turns out I’ve done quite a lot like coaching 200+hrs, lost a stone, written 150 posts, whilst grieving and winding up a human's life on earth. Now instead of feeling weighed down I feel in awe of myself.

What you’ve contributed in the last 12mths is amazing, you just haven’t seen it yet. Your brain’s been busy showing you where you’re coming up short.

And if you’re a creative entrepreneurial man who wants some help with this, let’s talk. I offer a free 90min DISCOVERY CALL which you can book by clicking this link.
